Jeffrey B. Baker, MD

Dr. Jeffrey Baker is a retired obstetrician (OB) and still practicing gynecologist (GYN) that has worked in Idaho Falls for nearly the last 30 years. Dr. Baker has performed clinical research for the past 20 years and has been involved in over 100 clinical studies including Phase I, II, III, and IV studies. Dr. Baker has been the high enroller in many studies in women’s health, and he has successfully recruited for general trials such as obesity, constipation, and vaccines.
Dr. Baker currently sees women’s health care patients as well as primary care patients in his integrative and functional medicine clinic, The Healing Sanctuary. Dr. Baker enjoys contributing to new treatments in medicine and being able to offer these new treatments at no cost to patients who choose to participate. “I feel like participating in clinical research as a primary investigator opens up additional options for better, more individualized care for my patients and for the Idaho Falls region.”—Dr. Baker
Joseph Armbruster, APRN, MSN, FNP-BC
Nurse Practitioner/Sub-Investigator
Joe Armbruster is a Family Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in traditional and integrative medicine. He was born and raised in Missouri and chose nursing because he wanted to help others. He previously worked in Neurology, but also enjoyed working with children for many years in a pediatric clinic.
Joe is currently a sub-investigator at Clinical Research Prime and is responsible for seeing study patients of all ages for scheduled trial or sick visits. He also sees patients who wish to join the trial to determine their overall health and ensure they understand the expectations of the trial. Joe loves helping others better their lives physically by sharing the wisdom and knowledge he has acquired over the years. He feels strongly that maintaining a healthy lifestyle is a way to substantially reduce the risk of acquiring disease, and he enjoys finding solutions for the whole body, mind, and spirit so his patients can enjoy a more complete feeling of well-being.

Idaho Falls native Taylor is thrilled to practice in his hometown, serving the community that shaped his youth. His early exposure to healthcare at his grandfather’s pharmacy fueled his passion for building lasting patient-provider relationships. Taylor holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language and Literature from Idaho State University, complemented by prerequisite courses for his postgraduate journey. He pursued a dual-degree program at Campbell University, earning Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) and Master of Physician Assistant Practice (MPAP) degrees. Credentialed as a certified Physician Assistant (PA-C), he has additional training in Hormone Replacement Therapy.
At Clinical Research Prime, Taylor values holistic health, viewing it as encompassing physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and communal well-being. Research allows him to engage with the full spectrum of healthcare. Outside work, he relishes outdoor activities, exploring new places, picking up new hobbies, and cherishing moments with his wife and family.

I earned my B.S. in Health Science from ISU and delved into clinical research for over a year before returning to pursue a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, which I completed in December 2019. Following graduation, I dedicated two more years to research and education. The company’s excellent reputation and the appealing office setting drew me in, and I’m thrilled to join a dynamic and growing organization.
A native of Idaho Falls, having a job close to home is exciting. During my leisure, I indulge in workouts, hiking, napping, movie-watching, and spending quality time with my dogs. Family is paramount, and I relish moments with my husband, son, and stepson.

In 1984, I completed my education at Rick’s College, graduating as a Nationally Certified Emergency Medical Technician with an AS in Health Science, focusing on Emergency Medicine.
For five years, I volunteered on the Shelley-Firth Quick Response Unit, contributing to community emergency services. Additionally, I have amassed 14 years of experience in medical transcription, demonstrating my commitment to healthcare.
Beyond my professional endeavors, I am a proud father of eight children and a grandfather to 24 grandchildren. My personal interests include camping, traveling, and cherishing moments with my wife and family. These activities bring balance to my life, aligning with my dedication to both professional and personal well-being.

Originally hailing from California, I relocated to Idaho Falls around a year ago. During my leisure, I indulge in a diverse range of activities, including knitting, writing, drawing, reading, gardening, archery, and cooking.

I am a certified Medical Assistant and have three years experience in the field. Additionally, I earned an AA in Criminal Justice and am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree. My externship at Harbor Medical Center in Seattle exposed me to various medical scenarios, including working with COVID patients. My background extends to mental health, having worked at Pearl Health Clinic in their Ketamine program. Upon moving to Idaho, I found my professional home at The Healing Sanctuary.
The positive environment, both among staff and people encountered here, makes work a pleasure. Outside of work and studies, I relish outdoor activities like paddleboarding, BBQing, camping, and gardening. Although originally from Idaho, I’ve spent the majority of my life in Washington State.

Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, I pursued my college education at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, where I was recruited to join their rowing team. I successfully earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences with a Minor in Biology. My enthusiasm for learning and the prospect of connecting with patients at Clinical Research Prime excite me.
Outside of professional commitments, I relish spending time outdoors, hitting the gym, and experimenting in the kitchen. Despite my Phoenix origins, I have a fondness for snow and indulge in cross-country skiing. Cooking, podcast listening, watching Disney movies, and exploring Idaho with my husband are additional pursuits that bring joy to my spare time.

I graduated from UC Davis with a Bachelor of Science in Genetics and Genomics, accompanied by minors in Writing and Psychology. My fascination with genetics stemmed from my red hair and evolved into a deep interest in the complexity of DNA. Writing and understanding decision-making processes are the focus of my minors.
In college, I worked as a Medical Assistant in a chiropractic office and interned at the University of Sydney’s Behavioral and Ecology Lab during my study abroad in Australia. Both experiences allowed me to interact with patients and coworkers while continually learning. I was attracted to CRP by Dr. Baker’s commitment to addressing the root causes of patients’ issues rather than masking symptoms.
In my personal life, I enjoy reading fantasy novels, exploring mythology worldwide, playing with my golden retriever, and crafting personalized gifts. Spare moments find me immersed in paint or sawdust, working on various craft projects.

I started working at a young age, first as a babysitter, then as a sales associate for a few years, as well as in janitorial and housekeeping roles. I completed my internship at Central Utah Clinic in the Oncology department. I’ve always aspired to work in a field that allows me to help people, which THS/CRP provides.
I have been happily married to my husband for 15 years as of July. We have five children—one son and four daughters. In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family, attending church, fishing, playing volleyball and games, and playing the piano. I became interested in Clinical Research Prime because of the impactful work they do. I’ve always had a passion for science, and contributing to studies and collecting real-world data to help get medications and vaccines FDA-approved has been incredibly rewarding.
In my free time, I enjoy coaching soccer, skating in the summer, and reading. I also have a passion for anime and dream of visiting Osaka, Japan one day. Working at Broulim’s Pharmacy in Rigby, ID, I started as a Technician in Training and later became a Certified Pharmacy Technician, accumulating six years of experience before seeking a career change.
With a passion for both research and helping others, I was drawn to this organization’s mission of conducting research to bring new, health-improving products to market. My background includes significant experience in both teaching and healthcare. Recently, I served as an adjunct faculty member at BYU-I, teaching human anatomy. Additionally, I have volunteered as a hospice aide for the past two years, finding great fulfillment in this role.
I am also involved in clinical research, believing it enhances individual care and advances humanity. Being part of this vital healthcare aspect is a great honor for me.

I began my education at the University of Montana, where I developed a passion for medicine and public health. Now, I’m completing my Bio-Behavioral Health degree at Penn State, with plans to attend PA school soon. My clinical experience is broad, including roles as a first responder, physical therapy aide, and fitting orthotics in orthopedic clinics. I especially enjoyed working in pediatrics. While I’ve always been interested in research, I prefer hands-on patient care, making CRP a perfect blend of both.
Originally from California, I’ve lived and traveled across the U.S., most recently moving from Missoula, Montana, to Idaho Falls. Outside of work, I enjoy experimenting with recipes for my home bakery, hiking with my dog, going to the gym, or relaxing with a good book.

I am currently pursuing a degree in psychology and have been a caregiver for six years, starting just two weeks after turning 18. While looking for a new job, I spoke with my aunt about opportunities at MVH, and she recommended CRP based on my background, believing I would be a great fit.

I graduated from Taylor’s Crossing Public Charter School and am currently studying social work at the College of Western Idaho. I plan to transfer to a school closer to my current home. I have extensive experience in labor-intensive jobs, which has made me aware of how physical limitations can impact daily life. THS/CRP has been a great help in managing this.
I enjoy exploring new cuisines and experiences, and while I’m a thrill seeker, I also value quality time with my family. I grew up in Idaho Falls, moved to Boise, and recently relocated back.

In high school, I attended Skyline part-time to earn my CNA certification by graduation. Afterward, I began working as a CNA and completed a medication certification course. Since then, I’ve expanded my skills by obtaining a Cosmetology license and becoming a certified notary. I returned to healthcare, working in Occupational Health as a Case Manager. My diverse work history spans customer service, payroll, loader operation, insurance coordination, and case management, eventually leading to research assisting. I was drawn to the research assistant role because it blends my love for healthcare and learning.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing video games, and working on craft projects. I also love spending time at home and watching TV and movies.

I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, with an emphasis in Applied Laboratory Science, from BYU-Idaho. Throughout high school and college, I worked in a variety of positions to support myself, and some of my favorite roles included being a Teaching Assistant for the biology and chemistry labs, as well as working as a chiropractor assistant.
I became interested in CPR because I was looking for a place where I could combine my passion for working with people and helping them in the healthcare field, while also engaging in research to find innovative solutions to problems.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, watching movies, swimming, and playing card games. I also love spending time outdoors with my husband, and some of our favorite adventures include mountain biking trips and hiking in the mountains. I’m originally from a small town called La Jara in southern Colorado, and I carry the appreciation for nature and small-town community with me wherever I go.

I worked as a CNA in various Assisted Living homes for 2.5 years and briefly at O’Reilly Auto Parts to learn more about cars and share that knowledge.
I’ve always been fascinated by the medical field—my dad originally wanted to be a nurse but went to mortuary school instead. Growing up, I loved asking him questions about how the body works, which sparked my interest in health and its impact on the body.

Transitioning into teaching Medical Assisting at the turn of the century, I furthered my education with a B.S. in Health & Wellness from Kaplan University, emphasizing herbal health. My passion for healthcare encompasses integrative modalities and quality research, aiming to make medical procedures as comfortable as possible.
New to Idaho, I am enthusiastic about the opportunities the future holds and look forward to exploring the state and spending time with family. In my leisure, I indulge in reading, baking, enjoying quality movie time with my husband, and even dancing with my turtle! Having recently moved from Denver, Colorado, I am originally from Cody, Wyoming, and am thrilled to be close to Yellowstone again!
